Stephenson is the largest and most comprehensive oncology practice in Oklahoma, in addition to being the only NCI-designated cancer center in the state. We rank first among all cancer centers in the nation for the number of people participating in NCI-sponsored clinical trials, which means scientific breakthroughs are incorporated more readily into our treatment. Lead On: The University of Oklahoma's Campaign for the Future

Over 230 students are pursuing a Ph.D. in the OU Health Sciences Graduate College, and 70 are pursuing a M.S. As part of their degree requirements, M.S. and Ph.D. students plan, conduct and publish a body of original research under the mentorship of an experienced faculty researcher. Key focus areas include infectious disease, cancer, autoimmunity, neuroscience and diabetes, as well as improving public health, reaching at-risk populations and addressing disparities in health care.
